Part-time Receptionist at Carnon Downs Surgery

We are looking to employ someone who has great interpersonal skills and a commitment to patient centred care here at Carnon Downs Surgery. This is a busy and varied role and provides a focal point for patients, attached staff and the wider community by supporting our patients with their health and wellbeing.

This position will offer job satisfaction to someone who enjoys helping others working in an administrative healthcare setting and understanding the importance of confidentiality will be essential.
You will need to be able to work in a calm, logical and methodical way but be able to multi-task whilst dealing with frequent interruptions, so possessing effective communication skills is essential.
You should have proven customer care skills or have worked in a customer care focused environment. Previous experience in a healthcare setting would be an advantage. You will be required to have a good level of education and have experience in Administration and Clerical duties with good keyboard skills. The successful post holders will be expected to cover colleagues in times of sickness and annual leave.
The surgery’s current opening times are 8.30am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday with the hours spread over the weekdays. Salary will start at the National Living Wage per hour but is dependent on experience with a NHS Pension, uniform and free parking provided. There is very occasional weekend and evening work in line with the current requirements of the NHS extended hours provision. However, this is on a rotational basis and advance notice is always given.
